Grace Hwang (She/her)
I’m a Korean American born and raised in Texas! I grew up in Garland and attended college in Wichita Falls where I got my bachelors in education. I've taught in public schools, and am currently teaching the Youth Group at my home church. I live with my parents and our various pets in good ol’ Rowlett. My all time favorite Asian food would have to be sushi!

Dukwhan David Kim (He/him)
I was born in South Korea, but quickly flew to Texas as soon as I could at 10 months old. I grew up as a UT Dallas kid and attended there until grad school. I had a brief stint in College Station, TX until I couldn't stand it anymore and came back to Carrollton where I live with my beautiful wife, Danielle, and my precious - albeit pesky - puppers. I'm a software engineer by trade and degree, and can throw down all theological-like with my M.Div. from Perkins. Indian curry is the quickest way to my heart and soul.

Danielle Buwon Kim (She/her)
Pastor to Ka:ll Community
I was born in South Korea and came to the States when I was 14! I'm married to David, who is a native Richardsonian from Richardson, TX, and we have two dogs by the name of Methuselah (Thusie) and Nebuchadnezzar (Nezzie). I am an ordained clergy, and I currently serve as the Associate Director of Research and Development at the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. If I really have to commit the blasphemy of picking one and only favorite Asian food (because I have so many), it'd definitely have to be dumplings!
-
Hector Lopez (He/him)
Hi there! My name is Hector, I grew up in Florida enjoying the vibrant sunshine and beaches. Currently have the privilege of working for Starbucks. Working as a barista has been an enriching experience, allowing me to engage with diverse communities and connect with people through the universal language of coffee. My favorite food is sushi, especially crab and shrimp.

Katie Newsome (She/her)
Executive Director and Lead Pastor at Union Coffee
I was born and raised in Georgia, but have become a Texas native over the past 15 yrs. I am the Executive Director & Lead Pastor at Union Coffee in Dallas, where I get the privilege of meeting amazing people everyday. While coffee might be a first love for me, it is quickly followed by soup dumplings! 🥟

Rachmad Tjachyadi (he/she)
I was born in Indonesia to Chinese parents and moved to the US after high school. After trekking all over the country, I am grateful to call Dallas home. I am a high school chemistry teacher and I practice yoga and go to live theater for fun and relaxation.
As an Asian and a Texan, my go-to comfort food are noodles, dumplings, and chicken-fried things.
